Pennsylvania Housing Research Center as the host of the housing construction conference

University Park, PA.-DAS Pennsylvania Housing Research Center (PHRC), which is located in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in Penn State, organized a residential conference from March 26 to 27 in the Central Hotel and Conference Center. The conference invites the housing industry such as builders, design professionals, converters, code officials, educators, manufacturers of factory buildings and product manufacturers to discuss best practice, regulation and innovation in the housing industry.

The conference offers two full days with educational discs, discussions, exhibits and events. On the first day, meetings in connection with building materials and methods, high -performance accommodation as well as land development and planning are included, while the second focuses on weatherization, building regulations and building regulations.

Chris Hine, deputy director of the PHRC, will be welcomed by the participants, followed by the keynote address, “universal design and visit to our houses from the curb to the closet”, delivered by Dorothy Gerring, head of the Department of Architecture and Sustainable Design at the Pennsylvania College of Technology; Rob Gladfelter, chairman of the landscape architecture program at Temple University; and Dina Snider, main architect at Strada Architecture LLC.

After the keynote, meetings on the first day include topics such as the role of HLK in healthy and comfortable interiors, trends for apartment exits and real estate values. The first day is completed with networking opportunities and time to attend exhibits from product manufacturers, suppliers and professional services.

On the second day, session topics such as the 2021 PA UCC living code will be included, which achieves profound energy savings through coordinated services and energy recovery beats. The conference is completed with a session via crawlspaces, which is to be presented by the PHRC team.

The presentations of the PHRC Housing Conference are only delivered by invited speakers, whereby the focus is on providing practical information and updates on questions of the specialists in the residential building industry. For this conference, up to 12 Continuing Education Credits about the American Institute of Architects, the International Code Council, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry and the National Association of the Refauer Industry as well as Pennsylvania engineers are available for their professional development hours. And for landscape architecture lessons. The participants should check every single session for approved hours.
