The state pumping stations by Johnson County Wastwasser and the Forcemain project change from the design phase to the construction phase.
Construction begins at the state pumping stations at the end of February and the construction of the Forcemain project begins in March. All schedules are permitted.
This project will add two new pump stations in Leawood, Kansas in the 8950 State Line Road and the 10346 State Line Road and a new forcemain under the State Line Road Road from Leawood Park.
Using rolling segmented lane closures of the two south -bound lanes, there is at least one trace on the State Line Road for each transport direction during the construction phase. We appreciate your patience while the construction is completed.
Johnson County's wastewater will build two new pump stations and a common forcemain in the city of Leawood to convey the flow generated in the area of the Tomahawk Creek sewage treatment plant.
The State Line Road Pump Stations and the Forcemain project are a critical part of Johnson County Wastewater's 25-year-old wastewater Integrated plan. After completion, this project will significantly reduce the river for treatment, which is currently transferred to Kansas City, Missouri and the interest payers save $ 100 million over a period of 20 years. This project is expected to pay for itself within seven years.
Through a partnership with the city of Leawood, the Forcemain construction along the state line will also include significant improvements in the street on the lanes towards the south. Find out more about the Financing of this project.
