The Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal asked the actors of the construction industry to reduce dependence on the import, to focus on clean and green constructions and to work on earthquake-resistant and modular infrastructures. During the inauguration of the first edition of Chemicals & Allied Products Export Promotion Council (Capexil) Buildcon 2025 in Neu -Delhi, he said that sectors, including living space, infrastructure, commercial real estate, railways, airports, motorways and energy, play a key role in the strengthening of the economic growth of the country.
“Every element, from cement and electrics to security systems and automation, plays a role in this ecosystem,” he said.
The government initiatives, including 20 new intelligent industrial cities, improved the tourism infrastructure in 50 destinations, and 100 new industrial-plug-and-play hubs would contribute to switching from a 4-billion economy of $ 30 to 35 trillion, Goyal added by 2047.
