The Casper City Council approves landscape design, building contracts

Caber, Wyo. – The Casper City Council approved a handful of contracts for landscape design on Tuesday and a contract for a new parking lot project.

The contracts include five for landscaping and construction removal services. The city achieved agreements with AAA landscaping, Brian's Go to Service, Leon's landscaping, local lawn care and JNC services. According to the city, several contractors are required because companies have other customers and may not always be available for work.

Mowing for areas 2,500 square feet or less is paid at 11 cents per square foot. The mowing area of ​​2,501 to 5,000 square foot is paid at 8.5 cents per square foot and over 5,000 square foot are paid with a rate of 6 cents per square foot.

The price for the removal of garbage and garbage is $ 55 per cubic meter with a minimum payment of $ 50 for small jobs. And the compensation for the removal of tree and vegetation is agreed by the city and the contractors before the task or acceptance of the work.

The financing of the contracts comes from the budgeted financial year 2025-26 General Fund.

The Council also approved a contract for 289,273 US dollars with treto construction for work in a parking space between Collins Drive and Midwest Avenue. This marks the second phase of the project, whereby the work Top Lift, the installation of a concrete sidewalk, a retaining wall, lighting, landscape design, irrigation, ada-compliant accessibility and surfaces.

In addition to the contract with TRETO building, the Council approved a construction quota of $ 15,000, which increased the total project costs to $ 304,273.

All work is expected to be completed by September 12, say the city's employees.
