Text description provided by the architects. The Rebelo de Andrade Studio was responsible for the interior design of the five -star -legacy Hotel in Rua Do Ouro, also known as Rua Áurea -and nothing less could be expected than a renovation that would improve.
This project is a renovation of a historical office building in which Rebelo de Andrade was not only responsible for the interior design, but also for the redesign of the facade and converted it into the Art legacy hotel.
With the words of the architect Luís Rebelo de Andrade himself, hospitality is always a question of picture and stories. One of the goals of the studio was for every guest when he entered the hotel to have a completely unexpected experience. In a mixture of modernity and classic references, Rebelo de Andrade chose the Moooi brand, which corresponded to the studio approach to design the hotel interior.
The brand can be found throughout the hotel: “If you enter the hotel, all colors, all textures, all MOOII furniture help us to tell us a different story on every floor,” says architect Tiago Rebelo de Andrade.
Each room in Art Legacy Hotel has a color scheme: blue, red, yellow or green with suitable wall coverings, furniture and tiles. This selection was made because these are colors that contribute to the first idea of affecting this space for the guest.
