Vietnam presents Tech breakthroughs on the National Science Exhibition

More than 40 outstanding technological products, digital solutions and services of Vietnamese companies were presented in Hanoi on May 16 at the Vietnam Science and Technology Day 2024. The event has presented the country's growing capacity in relation to scientific research, innovation and digital transformation.

The exhibition of scientific and technological achievements, innovations and digital transformation (S&T/Innovation/DT) showed a wide range of technologies in six key sectors: artificial intelligence and digital transformation, scientific innovations, S&T products, stem formation, stem technology and media, in S&T.

The most captivating displays included:

Military technology Technologies, including optical-electronic observatories and fire protection systems developed by the Institute for Military Automation.

Autonomous robot from the University of Fire Prevention and the Military Technical Academy.

AI camera solutions developed by Viettel.

Picodragon satellite model and Vietnams Trio National Satellites: Picodragon, Nanodragon and Microdronch.

3D printing in medical applications, presented by the Vinmec Hospital and the University of Civil Engineering.

Virtual reality headsets, innovative software platforms such as Misa Eshop and AI productivity assistant from NTQ solution (CodevisnxUniverse) and FPT (Codevista).

Students and tech startups also took part, with creative products such as 3D printers, Auto -Timelapse devices and custom stem solutions for education.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the new law on science and technology and innovation would shift focus on the strengthening of companies. The law aims to equip companies with greater autonomy and financing – both privately and publicly – for F&E initiatives.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi dung called for the development of a comprehensive national innovation ecosystem and underlines the need for effective public-private cooperation and political incentives, the citizens and companies at the center of the innovation.

At the end of 2024, Vietnam houses 73,788 digital technology companies and marked an increase of 10.12% compared to 2023. Its combined income amounted to around $ 158 billion and 10.2% compared to the previous year.
