Corpus Christi, TX – Below are road closures along the large city roads that affect drivers and pedestrians. These closures can be due to construction, special event or maintenance. All closures are changed due to weather, emergency work or other circumstances.
The safety of the work zone has a priority. The drivers are recommended to become slower, to follow the speed boundaries, to draw attention, pay attention to workers, to follow signs and flagers and to enable additional travel time for delays.
Reconstruction or maintenance projects of Stadtstraße
Aaron Drive – Saratoga Boulevard for summer wind drive.
Aaron Drive from Saratoga Boulevard to the Summer Wind Drive will be limited to traffic to the north by November. The project is to be completed in March 2026.
Alameda Street – Louisiana Avenue to Texan Trail
The traffic in the Alameda Street will move south to the Texas Trail from the Louisiana Avenue, while the lanes are closed to the north for street work. This phase of the project is expected to remain effective by October.
During this road work, traffic is redirected to the single -lane transport traffic in the lanes in the south. Access to all companies and at school in the work area is maintained during the entire building.
Brownlee Boulevard – Staples Street to Morgan Avenue
The Brownlee Boulevard between the Ayers Street and the McKenzie Street is closed by traffic.
Cooper's alley
Working at Cooper's Alley L-Head Construction Project is now underway and require a lane closure. The two-way traffic continues on the western track. Flagers will be available to navigate the construction zone. This closure is expected to last until June 1st.
Everhart Road – Mcardle Street
The lanes to the north will be closed on Friday, May 23, at the intersection. The two-way traffic is redirected to the southern lanes of the Everhart Road between the McArtle Road and the Burney Drive. Access to McAardle Road and Burney Drive in the east is closed in the Everhart Road. The left turns onto the McAardle Road from the Everhart Road is banned. This will be in force until July.
Flato Road – Bear Lane to Bates Road
The Flato Road project continues in phase 1. In this phase, the Flato Road is closed from the crossing of the Bear Lane to the second driveway of the West Oso High School.
Lexington Boulevard – Leopard Street to Hopkins Road
The North Lexington Boulevard is open to traffic with intermittent blocking closures for entry installations.
Martin Road – Holly Road to Dorado Street
Street work in Martin Road requires lane closures. Traveling will be south from the Holly Road to Dorado Street.
Nueces Bay Boulevard – Leopard Street to West Broadway Street
The Nueces Bay Boulevard is closed between the River Road and the Leopard Street. This closure is part of the continued improvements of the water pipes along this section and is expected to last until Monday, June 9th.
In addition, the Nueces Bay Boulevard between the Leopard Street and the Highway 37 Frontage Road remains closed with two directions on the lanes driven south.
The full scope of the project is expected to be completed by July 2025.
OSO Parkway-Bar-Le-Doc trip
The City -Regenwasser -Kättenctungen replace the drainage infrastructure under the drainage crossing of the OSO Parkway. The City crews open up a temporary complete road closure of the OSO Parkway to carry out maintenance repairs. Message Boards and Construction Signage lead drivers through the closure. Access to residential buildings is not affected by the temporary road closure.
Timbergate Drive – South Staples Street for Snowgoose Road
The Timbergate Drive between the South Staples Street and the Snowgoose Road will be towards the west. The lane closures apply to the lanes of the Timbergate Drive between the Staples Street and the Snowgoose Road, suitable for the east.
West Broadway – North Port Avenue to Peabody Avenue
From Wednesday, May 21st, the construction work will close the West Broadway Street between North Port Avenue and Peabody Avenue. The closure is expected to be completed in mid -July.
Whitecap Boulevard and Gypsy Street Bridges
Varying blocks of the lane are expected because the crews on the Whitecap Boulevard Bridge near the Cruiser Street and the Gypsy Street Bridge from Bounty Avenue are working to improve.
Work will require different blocking closures. The project is to be completed by June 12th.
Yorktown Boulevard – Rodd Field Road to Oso Creek Mud Bridge
The construction of the Yorktown Boulevard project is underway. The lanes of the Yorktown Boulevard, directed west, are closed by the Geiger Road to the Oso Creek Mud Bridge. Traffic is diverted to the lanes directed to the east, which enables two -way traffic.

Lomax Street – North Mesquite Street to North Chaparral Street
An contractor has two 20-cubic waste landfill on site for about 30 days. Tucm renovates its first floor in the Lomax Street & Chapparal Street. It requires the equipment to remove garbage and dirt.
John Sartain Street – North Chaparral Street to North Water Street

An contractor will renovate the outdoor cladding of the building of the educational service in the 300 block of John Sartain Street in the city center of Corpus Christi. The contractor will temporarily occupy the parking spaces along N Water Street, the John Sartain Street and N Chaparral Street next to the building. Warning signs advise drivers and pedestrians in advance about the construction. Construction in this location is expected to take several weeks.
Port Avenue – Horne Road to Baldwin Boulevard (Clark Pipeline)
The contractor replaces a 16-inch water help along the South Port Avenue from Horne Road to Baldwin Boulevard. The construction has developed into the next phase. However, the Port Avenue towards the south remains reduced to a trail between Baldwin Boulevard and Tarlton Street, with the Center Turn Lane being used as a travel track. The Port Avenue Travel Lanes to the north will not be affected. In addition, other lane closures along the project boundaries for lateral waterline installations can occur. Port Avenue – Agnes Street to Lipan Street
