The British architecture firm Forgoods has ended the renovation of a house from wooden shingles that is a bungalow in Bath. The design collects the entire appearance with a layer of cedar shingles. It is located on a wooden hill in a forested area and was developed for Celia McCarthy, the founder of the interior design company Richardson Studio.
The entrance was moved from front to the side as a new layout of the room. The director of Forgeworks, Chris Hawkins, talks about the design: “While the existing house only offered limited visual and spatial attraction, it had a considerable potential for basic materials and structure. We accepted the project as a holistic transformation and tackled the original structure with a visual and thermal” cloaking “that redefined the house.”
