Alchemist CDC is a 2004 established non-profit association with the mission to provide food and community in the Sacramento region. The following explanation was shared by the team about their plans in the 341 North 10th Street:

The alchemist team has extensive experience in the support of food entrepreneurs who are exposed to systemic obstacles that make farmers accessible to households with low income, and enable neighborhoods to build up shared resources through the transformation of free space. Alchemist CDC builds on this specialist knowledge and develops the Alchemist Public Market (APM), a self-supporting, local infill project that brings together these three programs.

The property is located at the intersection of the North 10th Street and the North D Street near the Richard Boulevard and a few blocks from the master plan of the Riverside Township Nine.

In May 2023, the project received an award of 8.1 million US dollars from the pilot program Cerf Economic Development. Dave Bruss will be the construction manager. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with the next summer ready. According to the application, the work is estimated at over 8 million US dollars, which does not include all development costs.
