Colantonio completes a comprehensive renovation of the village of Agawam in Ipswich, MA

Ipswich, MA – Colantonio Inc. has announced the conclusion of a large renovation project at Agawam villageA apartment community affordable with 94 residential units, which serves families and seniors aged 62 and over.

The project was delivered in cooperation with the Ipswich Housing Authority (Iha) and harbor shells with architectural design by SV design.

The modernization project has improved seven two-story residential building fours with layouts in the apartment style and three with townhomes. In the interior discharges, fully renovated kitchens and bathrooms belonged to new cupboards, devices, floors and walls. The team also installed new fire alarm systems, replaced selected windows and siding and completed the replacement for the full roof in the entire complex.

Colantonios' work stretched beyond the buildings to improve general experience in the resident. The improvements of a new basketball court included improvements, improved benches and extended parking spaces to accommodate both residents and visitors.

A central challenge was to complete the construction, while parts of the complex remained occupied. Colantonio implemented a phaseed approach with careful logistical coordination to minimize the disorders for the residents of the entire project.

George Willwerth, President of Colantonio Inc., praised the collaboration behind the early completion of the project. “The extraordinary teamwork of this project has made an important contribution to his success,” he said. “Our close cooperation with the houses of IHA, Harborlight and SV enabled us to end the work a few weeks before the schedule.”
