Honolulu (Khnl/Gray News) – A man who confessed to kill his lover in 2022 and bury his body in a bathtub full of concrete was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of probation.
The 26 -year -old Juan Baron has to spend 20 years behind bars before he is entitled to release.
In a contract with prosecutors in 2024, Baron announced that the second degree of the first degree and theft of the first degree.
The 26-year-old admitted to stranging the 73-year-old Gary Ruby and hiding his body with cement and coffee outdoor areas on the multi-customer dollar-hawaii Loa Ridge Mansion of the man.
The authorities said Baron then had Ruby and took control of Ruby's house and car.
The plea enabled Baron authorization. He tried to withdraw from it in May, but a judge made his application.
Lorne Ruby, the victim's older brother, was one of the family members and friends who took part in the conviction and asked the judge for the strongest judgment and called Baron evil and blurring.
“You buried him alive,” said Lorne Ruby in court about Baron. “This fact and my awareness of his last suffering continue to pursue me. It was not enough for them to murder him. They have inflicted terrible, unnecessary suffering. How cold, how cruel, how inhuman, how bad is such an action.”
Gary Ruby's niece addressed a stoic baron about zoom.
“The medical examination has found cement particles in the lungs of my uncle,” she said. “I have to live and know that he was still breathing when they poured cement on him. You also have to live with it, Mr. Barone. What a terrible way to die.”
She continued: “After each campaign, they organized parties in this house. They used their car.
Baron's mother told the court about Zoom that she believed that her son could be rehabilitated.
“We not only know that rehabilitation is possible, but that it is on the way,” she said by an interpreter. “We are ready to be with him every step of the way.”
Ruby's brother believes that Baron should stay in prison for at least 50 years before being considered for the probation. The judge said it will be due to the probation authority.
He expressed disappointment after the verdict had been passed.
“Nobody should die or die as he was treated and treated as he treated, buried alive, being locked up in concrete. Founded his reputation. I hope that one of the things that is done is that his memory is restored.
