Cadillac – In order to comply with the provisions of the federal funds awarded for the renovation of the old Cooley School in apartments, the city must hire a construction manager in order to monitor certain parts of the project.
On Tuesday, the Cadillac city council will consider renting the climax to fulfill this function.
According to documents from the Council, Garrett Family Community Partner, a non-profit organization in Michigan, who, based in Grand Rapids based in Michigan, has concluded a purchase contract with public schools in the Cadillac Area for the takeover and renovation of the building.
The project includes the construction of 23 apartments, of which at least 12 in rents and for income qualified households with an average income of 120% or less income.

According to the council documents, the city will not be 100% of the BEP subsidy.
Pinnacle is the entire Cooley Project Construction Manager and City employee of the opinion that “this will be the most effective and efficient agreement to manage all contracts for the project.”
Garrett Family Community Partners' invoices are paid in advance by Garrett Family Community, and at the end of the BEP-associated construction activities, the city transfers the scholarships to the organization. Pinnacle will put together and approve all of the Garrett's bills, whereby the city has made copies available.
The city's employees recommended that the council waive competitive commands and award the tree manager contract to Pinnacle.
The Council will also be considered on Tuesday to set a public hearing for September 15 for a proposal to enable short-term rents in the B-3 distribution by special use.
