Kreole, La. (KPLC) – The construction is about to complete La 1143 in Creole.
The crews of the Ministry of Transport and Development in Louisiana have had the highway new since July. The project consists of patches, grinding and overlays of 7 miles.
Dotd also replaces 22 cross areas and adds shoulders to achieve better maneuvering for large vehicles.
The project costs a little more than 4 million US dollars from federal and state funds.
“You know many of these projects, it only depends on many factors in which the streets of the streets are located. You know whether funds are also available to do the work. So all of these factors play when road improvements are carried out,” said John Guidroz, public information officer from DOTD.
The contractor of this project is Prairie Contractors LLC.
Guidroz said that grinding and overlay work are also carried out on more than 10 miles La 82 in Cameron.
Both roads are expected to be completed in autumn.
