BRADD selects design firm Stengel Hill for the Anchor project

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – The Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) announced that design firm Stengel Hill has been selected for component one of the Anchor Project.

Component one will focus on the design and construction of a regional mental health crisis reception center to be operated by LifeSkills, Inc., according to a news release.

Earlier this year, BRADD received a state grant from the Kentucky General Assembly to pilot a regional substance abuse project. The three-component project has become the region's response to the opioid crisis and is called the “Anchor Project.”

Stengel Hill, a full-service architecture and interior design firm based in Louisville, is being recognized nationally for its work in advanced healthcare, the release said.

“Stengel Hill is honored to partner with BRADD and LifeSkills in the design and development of the Anchor Project,” said Paul Edwards, Director of Stengel Hill. “We share the team’s commitment to improving mental health and addiction services for the community and are excited to lead a project that will be a vital lifeline for so many. Our goal is to support the residents of this region with innovative design solutions that promote healing and recovery in this new and exciting facility.”
