Contract signed for a wharf at Mazaruni Prison worth $239.6 million

The Interior Ministry yesterday signed a contract for a wharf at Mazaruni Prison worth $239.6 million.

A statement from the ministry said this was one of four contracts signed.

The signing ceremony took place in the office of Undersecretary Andre Ally and was attended by employees of the ministry's project department and representatives of the contracting companies.

Renovation of the living quarters of female civil servants, ground floor, Eve Leary

Contract amount: $14,900,600

Contractor: Studio 4 Investment

Construction of a wharf in Mazaruni Prison

Contract amount: $239,638,980

Contractor: Blueprint Buildings Inc.

Renovation of the hospital building in Mazaruni Prison, Region 7

Contract amount: $73,516,745

Contractor: Gryphon Engineering Inc.

Renovation of the existing kitchen in Mazaruni, Region 7

Contract amount: $69,769,770

Contractor: GS Contracting & General Supplies

The press release said Ally expressed confidence in the expertise and reliability of the selected contractors and encouraged them to complete the projects on time. He emphasized that these projects are in line with the ministry's overall goal of strengthening the country's security infrastructure.
