The Interior Ministry yesterday signed a contract for a wharf at Mazaruni Prison worth $239.6 million.
A statement from the ministry said this was one of four contracts signed.
The signing ceremony took place in the office of Undersecretary Andre Ally and was attended by employees of the ministry's project department and representatives of the contracting companies.

The press release said Ally expressed confidence in the expertise and reliability of the selected contractors and encouraged them to complete the projects on time. He emphasized that these projects are in line with the ministry's overall goal of strengthening the country's security infrastructure.
