DOL appoints new members of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health

The four appointees will serve for two years starting in January 2025.

The U.S. Department of Labor has announced four new appointments to the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH). This 12-member committee advises the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Health and Human Services on the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

According to a recent press release, the new members, who represent diverse interests in public safety, management, labor and workplace safety, will begin their two-year terms on January 16, 2025.

The people appointed are:

  • John Stephen FrostPublic Representative, OSHA Training Institute Education Center, University of South Florida.
  • Kirk SandersManagement representative, from the National Waste & Recycling Association.
  • Rebecca ReindelLabor representatives, from the AFL-CIO.
  • Sarah Williams IscherRepresentatives of workplace safety professionals, from the National Safety Council.

In its advisory role, NACOSH supports federal efforts to improve workplace safety and health standards. The Committee includes members who represent public, employer, employee and professional perspectives, ensuring a broad range of expertise and input.
