HANOVER, MD, October 31, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ – Angel N. Newman-Johnson was selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Johnson currently serves as Senior Project Manager at CDW, a role she assumed in 2025. She manages a diverse portfolio consisting of medium to large complex projects as well as several smaller initiatives, each supported by dedicated teams. Her cross-functional leadership includes both internal stakeholders within Integrated Technology Services and external customer engagements, providing strategic oversight and ensuring responsiveness to changing needs. She also plays a key role in mentoring other project managers, emphasizing effective communication, strategic direction and thoughtful delegation.
Her journey at CDW began in 2019 as a contractor at Apex Systems. In August of that year, she transitioned to a full-time project manager role and quickly gained recognition for her ability to manage complex projects. Her consistent performance led to her promotion to Senior Project Manager in 2025. During her tenure, Ms. Johnson has demonstrated exceptional skills in risk and crisis management, multitasking and team leadership.
In addition to her position at CDW, Ms. Johnson has served as an independent psychotherapy counselor at Another Spring Counseling Services since 2022. Based in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, she provides individual and family counseling in the evenings, drawing on her social work expertise to support her clients.
Her professional experience also includes working as an inpatient PRN at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (2024-2025) and a six-year stint at MedStar Health (2013-2019), where she rose from Patient Services Coordinator to Administrative Coordinator at the Simulation and Education Training Laboratory (MI2). There she supported medical education initiatives in collaboration with Georgetown University Medical School and later served as project coordinator.
Ms. Johnson is an active member of the Association of Social Work Boards, the National Association of Black Social Workers, and the Project Management Institute, where she earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2022.
Her educational journey is a testament to perseverance and dedication. After graduating from high school in 2005, she pursued higher education alongside her full-time job, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2016 and a second bachelor's degree in law in 2018, both from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She later completed a Master of Social Work from George Mason University in 2022 with a focus on children, youth and families.
Ms. Johnson holds multiple certifications including Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (2025), a Master Social Worker License from the State of Maryland, and a National Mediation Certification from the National Association of Certified Mediators (2018-2020). She has also earned various LinkedIn Learning certificates in leadership, communications and project management.
She attributes her success to her faith and is driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact. Her philosophy is based on the belief that success is personal and unfolds over time, and encourages others to pursue their unique paths and pursue lifelong growth. Ms. Johnson praises Dr. John R. Outside of her professional life, Ms. Johnson supports a child in Tanzania through World Vision and enjoys attending church, traveling and spending time with her family. Her leadership qualities were recognized with the CDW CEO Award in December 2024 and she was honored in Who's Who for Sports in 2005.
Looking to the future, Ms. Johnson recently enrolled at Gallaudet University to study American Sign Language with the intention of providing interpreting services at her church and providing therapeutic support to people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
