
Bouygues UK was selected as the main contractor for the West Park project at the University of Exeter after reaching the financial closure.
The order was awarded by UPP, a specialist for student apartments on campus.

The West Park initiative includes the construction of six new student blocks and the renovation of an existing block, all of which are located on the university's Streadham campus.
This development aims to offer 1,849 students living space.
The architectural design is dealt with by Willmore Iles Architects and Archype, whereby the focus is on fulfilling passive house standards in order to improve energy efficiency.
In addition, according to the Well-Community standard, the project is intended to achieve an accreditation that aims to promote a positive environment for the health and well-being of its residents.

The first group of students is expected to join the new accommodation in September 2027. The entire facility is expected to be fully occupied by 2028. The project is planned for the end of a schedule of three years.

In June of this year, Bouygues UK received a contract of 119 million GBP ($ 160.9 million) for the construction of two new educational institutions for the Cardiff and the Vale College in South Wales.
The two new institutions receive their first students in 2027.
