Chaos expands design-to-visualization with BIM, AI and automation.
Karlsruhe, Germany, February 21, 2025 -Chaos announces that Evolvelab, a developer of AI software, has created to optimize visualization, the generative design, documentation and interoperability for AEC specialists. With this acquisition, chaos increases design-to-visualization workflows and at the same time expands critical tools for BIM automation, AI-controlled ideas and the computing design.

Evolvelab was founded in 2015 and was the first to integrate the generative AI technology into the architectural modeling software and demonstrated the massive potential of mixing imaginative inputs with 3D geometry. Through its flagship software Vera's Veras Association Evolvelab, this ability with leading BIM products such as Sketchup, Revit, Vectorworks and others before expanding into intelligent documentation and generative design. Today, customers such as Cuningham, Störmer Murphy and Partners, H2I, LS3P and TVS design use these tools to reduce the costs and delays in the entire design process.
The Evolvelab ToolSet is the latest addition to the Chaos ecosystem, the only end-to-end hub in the AEC industry for design and visualization. This environment was developed to optimize the workflows and combines the conceptual ideas, real-time visualization, photorealistic rendering, generative design and automated AI documentation seamlessly. With this ecosystem, users can use the right technology in every design phase and solve problems quickly and efficiently. The Evolvelab tools are now joining powerful technologies such as Enscape, Envision, Corona, V-Ray and Vantage and expanding the growing AI offer from chaos.

“With Evolvelab, who is now part of the chaos, the company consolidates its position as a contact point for architects, designers and VFX artists who want to seamlessly convert the imagination into reality,” said Stephan Sieber, Chief Executive Officer at Chaos. “Evolvelab's tools have already been accepted by the community for their thoughtful designs and their ability to tighten. Together we continue to develop these tools and create even better opportunities to make customary designs, improve and generate. “
“Chaos is known in this industry as a designer-centered company that is a must for anyone with whom we work,” said Bill Allen, CEO of Evolvelab. “By joining strength, we can quickly track our AI developments and at the same time give an important new component in the Immersive Design Hub of Chaos that will help designers do even more in one place.”
Before the acquisition, designers were based on the combination of evolvelab and chaos tools, with Veras and Enscape accelerating both design and ratings. In the schematic design phase, this means that ideas are quickly generated in Vera before the design for BIM, where the real-time visualization functions of Enscape drive the project even further. During customer reviews, Enscape visuals are quickly improved or stylized with the help of GOAL generations of Veras in order to create the perfect presentation content.
“We started exploring AI tools over a year ago to accelerate our workflows and were enthusiastic about the discovery of Veras, a solution specially developed for AEC that integrates seamlessly into host platforms” -Winning Architectural Practice in Hamburg, Germany. “Veras is now our point of contact for the first ideas before moving into renderings in Enscape. This powerful combination accelerates concept development and ensures reliable results. “
“In Cuningham we integrate Evolvelabs Veras and Glyph next to chaos' Enscape to improve our design process,” said Joseph Bertucci, Senior Project Design Technologist from Cuningham, an integrated design company with offices in the USA. “The use of Enscape and Veras enables us to visualize, iterate and explore design concepts in real time and at the same time use AI-controlled improvements for a quick refinement. In the meantime, Glyphe was a player for the automatic documentation, with which we can efficiently generate views and drawing rates, which saves valuable time in the project facility. These tools rationalize our workflows together and increase efficiency, precision and creativity. “
Chaos and the Evolvelab teams examine paths to integrate their products and accelerate their AI road maps. Evolvelab products remain available to customers. The Evolvelab team will join Chaos, whereby everyone is the director of software development as Director of Product Management and Evolvelab Chief Technology Officer Ben Guler.
