Colorado occupies 7th place in the nation for energy efficiency

According to the American Council, Colorado is for an energy -efficient economy (Aceee) 2025 State Energy Efficiency Scorecard, in which the guidelines and programs of Colorado that progress intelligent energy consumption and save Coloradans money, is an energy -efficient economy (Aceee) 2025.

“Colorado continues to increase the yardstick for improving energy efficiency, the expansion of clean transport and strengthening sustainable building practices that save people and companies. As a guide of the country in EV acceptance, we focus on reducing intelligent investments and building a cleaner future in Colorado,” said Gov. Polis.

Colorado is also one of the “most improved” countries since the last scorecard in 2022 and jumped six jobs in the ranking as a result of the guidance of governor Polis to promote clean vehicles, reduce energy consumption in buildings and adopt strong standards for the efficiency of devices.

“Our improvement in this ranking shows the national leadership of Colorado in terms of energy efficiency and clean energy,” said Will Toor, Executive Director of Colorado Energy Office. “We endeavor to pursue innovative strategies in order to achieve net zero emissions in Colorado in Colorado by 2050, and at the same time save Coloradan's money for energy costs, to improve air quality and create new economic opportunities and well-paid jobs across the state.”

Colorado follows an innovative sector -based approach to reduce emissions throughout the economy. Aceee notes that Colorados were able to make considerable progress in the transport sector in the assumption of clean vehicle and truck standards where Coloradans provide more zero emission vehicles. In the report, Colorado's efficiency standards in Colorado, which mentions building measures for large buildings and the first -class standards for clean warmth for regulated gas suppliers, mentions as important improvements.

In addition to the state energy efficiency scorecard, the Aceee Colorado took third place in its scorecard for the transport duration of 2023. Colorado currently leads the nation in the EV turnover, with EVS making 31.5% of new car sales in the last quarter of 2024.
