Construction company Contec Australis Use a concrete 3D printer from the machine manufacturer Cybe construction to 3D printing a multi-storey building in Western Australia. The company emphasizes the fact that the 3D printer does not replace missing workers, but helps it.

The first project from Contec with technology took place in particular in Perth's northern suburbs: a 3D -printed house that caused the company to scale other projects and benefit from the speed of technology.

As part of her approach, Cybe offers an intensive two -week training program when installing the printer. During this time, Cybe experts trained the contec team for everything you need to know in order to deliver successfully and consistently 3D -printed construction projects. The training was so effective that the CONTEC trainees were able to print out all 15 walls for the 155 m² house within just 10.5 hours after active printing. Just a few weeks later, Contec gathered the middle surface and printed the walls of the second floor of the building with a printing time of 18 hours.

The importance of the environment

Beyond the speed, it is important to emphasize that printing in Open -Air, without the need for a tent, showed the suitability of the construction technology for Australian conditions at temperatures of up to 42 degrees.

With plans to expand its fleet of 3D printers by the end of 2025, Contec is already preparing for future projects in both the U -Bahn and in the regional areas of WA. This progress promises to redefine residential, commercial and civil construction and to create a new standard for the industry in WA.

In the meantime, the walls of their first two-story 3D printed house have already been completed.
