“Dodea sends our students back to the Victorian age by cutting these important positions.”
Ankara, Türkiye– The overseas association of teachers, the educators at public schools at military support points of the Ministry of Defense in Italy, Spain, Bahrain and Turkey, today condemned the agency's plans to reduce the essential school staff that helps the students learn to learn in a digital age and to access important services.
The eliminated positions include all school-based educational technologists (ETS), all voice estimates and all special education experts in Dodea-Schulen-von more than 450 jobs in the entire activity system for the Ministry of Education.
The Dodea plan stipulates that school-based ETS can be replaced by ETS at district level-two for the entire district south for the entire district, which only offers remote support. President Linda Hogan often said: “This is simply not enough. Almost every Dodea curriculum series has multi -layered technology components that have to be mastered by students and teachers alike. These cuts will affect our students and the quality of education, for the Dodea schools are known.”
Hogan added: “Dodea sends our students back to the Victorian age.
Dodea explained that it will be a framework for students and teachers shortly before the start of a new “blueprint for continuous improvements” and has taken over the ISTE standards for pupils and teachers. “How do we achieve this without essential educational technologists?” Said Hogan.
She said that the cuts on language and special education experts will be equally harmful. She noted that the evaluators identify and support students with learning and behavioral needs: cooperation with educators, families and support teams; Submit recommendations for special debt services; and help with the creation of individual educational programs.
“We don't know Dodea's plan to replace these important employees,” said Hogan. “When special school teachers fill the gap, their students lose the important time and energy of teachers. When school psychologists take on reviews, they become even thinner to do their other case work, from threat ratings to cases of child abuse.”
Hogan said: “Dodea is undoubtedly a first -class school system. This is not least because teachers can work together with critical support employees, including educational technologists and staters. They are no longer spent. They are crucial for the success of the students at school and in life. We urge Dodea to reverse this short -sighted decision.”
