DVIDS – News – Renovation work of 1.6 million US dollars for the command group of the USAAG Humphreys

Usag Humphreys, South Korea – The US Army Corps of Engineers – Project 520595 of the distant East District (USA FED), which renovates the renovation of the first and third floor for the Usag Humphreys Command Group, the plans, analysis and integration office (PAIO) and the internal review and the review of the audit (Iraco) are currently at the Camp Humps.

The scope of the project worth 1.6 million US dollars includes the renovation of the walls, heating and cooling area, safety updates, electrical and all supportive electrical, conference rooms and floor coverings. Part of the renovation work includes the creation of one more contemporary look with new paints, new tiles, floors and drop ceilings on both soils. In addition, new electrical lines, channels and drying materials were running, which are about 25% completed.
According to the joiner, there will be new floors with more distance. In order to illustrate, a room on the first floor includes increased access so that federal employees can see monitors on the wall. The third floor will contain a reception and more space for individual offices. And an open room for workstations and separators as well as a larger office for the commander of the installation.

There are many ways to procure a contract with USACE FED. Fed currently has around 330 active projects with an overall estimated value of more than 6 billion US dollars in the entire Republic of Korea (ROK).
A way for projects is through a job order contract (JOC), which is an accelerated procurement process that requires specially for projects for formal construction designs. As a rule, the completion of a JOC project can take a little more than a year.
Many of these projects are renovations or repair projects such as roofs, floor renovations and modifications. The time to award a JOC project is usually 45 to 60 days.
