According to the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), Egypt accelerates the introduction of the 3D printing for the production of spare parts in important industries. In cooperation with Immesna, a digital company, the AOI organized a workshop in its digital manufacturing center to emphasize the transforming role of 3D printing and digital machines.
Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, chairman of the AOI, emphasized the commitment of Egypt to the use of advanced manufacturing technologies in accordance with his Vision 2030 gates. He noted that the AOI will already carry out an evaluation of the need and start with the 3D printing immediately with the 3D printing with the production of spare parts. This includes parts for the automotive, air and space, medical and heavy machines.
The Digital Manufacturing Center from AOI, which is located in the engine factory, is equipped with state -of -the -art systems that are aligned with the fourth standards of the industrial revolution. It has successfully localized the production of critical components such as industrial pumps and can meet both domestic and international quality standards.
Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of the Public Department, underlined the importance of taking 3D printing in order to modernize the industrial basis of Egypt, reduce imports and create jobs. He called for strategic partnerships between the public and private sector to promote digital transformation and local production capacity.
Dr. Engineer Sayed Ismail, deputy minister of housing, also praised the initiative, in particular for the potential to support infrastructure systems such as water cleaning and wastewater treatment. He emphasized how important it is to increase the local component in Egyptian production and explore export options to Africa and the Golf.
The workshop is a big step towards Egypt's goal of industrial self -sufficiency. As narrow. Abdellatif stated: “Production of spare parts with 3D printing and digital machines is an innovative process”, which enables quick, on request and inexpensive production of high-precision parts, including those that are otherwise outdated.
This marks a crucial moment on an Egyptian journey to locate advanced technologies and to establish itself as a regional production manager.
