ESAB's new robust feed AVS Echo Wire Feeder – introduced for the first time at Fabtech 2024 – is now available via weld sales dealers and online retailers. The automatic voltage recipient is designed in such a way that it works with the Warrior® 500i CC/CV multiprot process welding (equipped with the upgrade of the Echo technology) so that users can set the voltage and wire speed directly on the feeder.
The system uses the new “Echo” communication technology from ESAB to enable voltage adjustment without communication or control cable for the power source. This setup simplifies cable management and reduces the need for travel to the power source, improves productivity and minimizes potential security risks.
The most important functions include:
- The feeder compensates for voltage waste via long welding cables by adjusting a measurement to the first welding seam and adjusting all subsequent weld seams.
- Eliminates the need for a dedicated control cable and reduces the disorder and potential cable damage.
- Housed in a permanent IP54 case to protect against dust and water injections.
- Delivers up to 500 amps with a 100% work cycle at 350 amps – to the highest in its class.
- Use a 4-wheel drive system and a feeding controlled by encoder for a consistent wire supply.
- Compatible with a variety of TWECO® -MIG -CANNON.
The design is particularly suitable for applications in the areas of construction, repair, shipbuilding, offshore and railcar production, in which cable length and mobility often restrict the factors.
