The ESR Group, a new owner and manager of the new economy, and stack infrastructure, a digital infrastructure provider, have announced that they will create and operate a new data center as part of a multi-phase 72 MW data center development in Japan.

In a press release, the companies found that the campus in Kehanna was developed in the Japanese region of Kansai in Kansai, where the construction in the first building Kix01a started with 18 MW from IT capacity. It is expected that it is ready in the second quarter of 2027. This facility was pre -certified as a LEED gold for sustainable building design and construction.

The joint venture on Kix01a extends the partnership between ESR and Stack in APAC, which includes a 48 -MW data center development in Incheon, South Korea, to support strong demand in artificial intelligence, cloud and 5G+ technologies. KIX01A is also part of the ESR pipeline of four data center assets in Japan and 2GW secured land and electricity via APAC. The first Hoferscale location of ESR, the 25 -MW cosmosquare OS1 data center in Osaka, is ready for service in June 2025.
