Interior design professor and program coordinator Irene Gomez said that the new building offers so many advantages for general learning experience.

“I am very happy about the opportunities and changes that the move to Limberlost will bring for both the faculty and students. It is particularly inspiring to learn and work in a building in the foreground of design and sustainability.

“The natural wooden surfaces, the abundance of daylight and the variety of group meeting rooms have the experience with GBC warmer, appealing and collaborative.”

The operating windows of the building maximize the natural light and fresh air. It offers a number of examination rooms, from cozy areas to larger rooms for group work to different preferences. Limberlost Place was developed to improve the well -being of the students.

Students from other areas of George Brown will also take part in the Limberlost Place, including health sciences and general education courses.

Expansive new studio room

The students also have a bright and spacious studio and a storage area on the second floor to work and show their architectural models what was missing on the former Casa Loma campus location.

While everyone is enthusiastic about using brand new classrooms, studios and gathering rooms, Esayed asks everyone to do their part to look after the building.

“Please come to the building, enjoy it, but make sure you keep it clean and safe,” he said. “This is very important because it is a place that we are all proud of.”

Enjoy everything the city has to offer

Gomez emphasized that the big one at work and learning on the waterfront is the amazing environment.

“It is also worthwhile to highlight the character of the urban environment,” she said. “With a view of the lake and countless cafes and restaurants, the new location will not only spend a whole day on campus more comfortable, but also more pleasant.”
