Habitat for humanity builds new houses in Gresham

Voluntary and elected managers helped to build 20 new houses for humanity in Gresham on Friday.

The houses are in the neighborhood of Rockwood. It is opposite Nadaka Nature Park and the garden.

All houses will have affordable mortgages and sold to first buyers.

The houses will also be “Platinum Earth Advantage certified”, which means that they correspond to the highest standards for energy efficiency, air quality indoors and sustainable building practices.

“So we cannot build enough houses to solve our lack of housing. “So it is so important for the state level, city level, local level, changes in guidelines and intelligent housing guidelines that open the door to more living space.”

Houses will accommodate about 80 people in three to five bedrooms.
