If you often travel west on the I-30 BTW between Texarkana and New Boston and like to leave them in Leary, in love or McDonalds or both, you have to take an analysis route for the next six months to reach them. The ramp on FM 2253 (Leary Exit) will be closed from Tuesday, May 6th.

According to a publication of TXDOT, the work for the renovation of the exit towards the west on Interstate 30 at Leary/FM 2253 on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, is provided. Starting on this day, the outcome of I-30 is closed in a west direction 213. FM 2253 and Shiloh Road remain open during work.

If you have to access FM 2253, the inter -state traffic can continue to the west and use the exit 212/gauge 74 (Lone Star DR), turn left over the bridge and then turn left (east) on the US Highway 82 to return to FM 2253.

The main traces of the I-30 in the west in this area are restricted to one track in the same time/working hours. The planned overall work is expected to last about 6 months.

Restrums and exit ramps to the east of Leary/FM 2253 remain open.

According to the publication, message boards that lead drivers are available. Weather and other unforeseen construction problems can affect work plans.

Txdot calls on the Texans to slow down, to stay vigilant and to follow when they drive through road construction or the maintenance areas.
