India's first commercial 3D printing facility was opened in Goa and marked a large milestone in high-tech production. The Advanced Additive Manufacturing Facility of Nirmitsu Design Labs in cooperation with the global industry leader 3D Systems aims to operate aerospace, defense and tool sectors with state-of-the-art production skills.
The facility was initiated by Goas IT Minister Rohan Khaunte together with Cumbarjua Mla Rajesh Faldessai, the zonal manager Anand Dingankar, the Bank of Maharashtra, Anand Dingankar, Nirpitsus co-founder Rajesh and Iraj Sheth, and Deelip Menezes.
Khaunte said at the start and said the initiative was right with the efforts of Goa to build a knowledge -based economy under Industry 4.0. “With guidelines for promoting startups and electronics production, Goa positions itself as an important hub for innovation. This institution is a step to build a future state,” he said.
The laboratory has two advanced machine das EXT Titan 1070-Pellet extrusion system and the Standalone Harz 3D printer from Figure 4- to create powerful plastic and composite parts with speed and precision.
Nirmitsu wants to offer sustainable, decentralized and on-demand production, which reduces the dependence on traditional supply chains. Co-founder Iraj Sheth said: “We want to convert ideas into effect and make a global brand in 3D printing.”
3D Systems has signed a declaration of intent to support the journey of Nirmitatsu and signal long -term cooperation. The start also supports the cluster of the Electronics Manufacturing from Goa in Tuem and opens up the opportunity to access advanced prototyping tools.
