Text description provided by the architects. Pitta Arquitetura creates a refined refuge in the ISA residence in Ubatuba. The project is located in the heart of the Atlantic Forest and combines rusticity and elegance with solutions that ensure comfort and integration into the natural landscape. In the middle of the lush vegetation of Ubatuba on the north coast of São Paulo, the ISA residence was developed as a 2,691 square meter holiday home on a 5.381 square meter property that improves the surrounding nature and offers a refuge of competence and comfort.

The project is characterized by the selection of natural materials such as wood, stone and large glass panes and creates perfect integration between interior and exterior environments. “The proposal was to create a space that brings maximum calm, harmony and connection with nature and offers the residents a home for leisure moments, but with comfort and sophistication,” explains the architect responsible for the project.

The two -story residence was developed to optimize cross ventilation and natural lighting. One of the biggest challenges was the close and elongated terrain, which was overcome by the giving of the garden to the living room and a continuous visual connection with the surrounding green was established.

Large eaves were installed to ensure thermal comfort, while the outdoor area offers a veranda, deck and sauna and creates the perfect environment for relaxation. In addition, the garden serves as a link to the extensive preserved green area, which leads to the river, and offers residents the opportunity to paddle to the beach. “The project's proposal was to create fluid rooms in which the areas combine organically and at the same time ensure that the house has the necessary privacy without losing the connection to the green and the surrounding area,” explains the architect.

The residence includes a ground floor that is dedicated to the social area with an integrated kitchen and rooms that are open to the garden and the pool deck. There is also an accessible suite that the customer requested. On the upper floor there are three spacious suites with large windows that offer a privileged view of the tree tops and the green area. The Master Suite has a balcony with a view of the pool and the vegetation.
