From Monday, June 9th, access to the parking lot in Los Alamos Little Theater (LALT) Kunstzentrum in the Nectar St. 1670 will be closed for the renovation work.
Los Alamos County Public Works, Capital Projects & Facility Division Divisions explain that the closure will enable an urgently needed renovation project for health and security focusing to improve the fire protection period in an emergency. The project also includes a deposit of asbestos that contain materials from the ceilings and the flooring in the building.
The district secured the services of R&M Construction, LLC for the installation of a fire suppression system and Southwest Hazard Control, Inc., for asbestos reduction services.
The Los Alamos Little Theater Fire Supplement project will lead to significant improvements and improvements that are carried out in accordance with the applicable OSHA and EPA regulations. The installation of a new fire sprinkler system that meets the requirements of the modern building and fire brigade code offers residents more time in order to evacuate safely from the building in the event of a fire.

The project is planned for completion by the end of October.
