The compensation of the Texas Division of Workers' announced the recipient of the 2024 Lone Star Safety Award for the meat processing plant in Lufkin, Texas, Double R Brand Foods LLC. The recognition underlines the company's commitment to security and health at work.
The production of Double R Brand Foods, in which 233 workers are involved in the manufacture of handmade, smoked meat, has shown an outstanding commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. The company's price will be underlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in February 2025 as a recipient for security and health services (Sharp).
The Double R Brand Foods has teamed up the occupational safety program for occupational safety and health advice from DWC (OSHCON) since 2020, using the free advisory services of the program to improve your security practices. Oshcon is a free program that helps Texas employers to understand and fulfill OSHA standards through confidential support from professional security advisors.
As a recipient of the Lone Star Award, Double R Brand Foods can be invited to share their best practices at industry events, look after other organizations, to take part in security and health panels, as they are at the Texas Workers' Compensation Conference at the Embassy Suites in San Marcos.
