Microsoft contracts with sublime systems for low-carbon cement

Microsoft refers to Somerville, MA-based sublime systems in order to demonstrate the construction emissions through a binding purchase of low-carbon cement, which was produced with the proprietary technology of sublime. The purchase of the tech giant is provided by up to 622,500 tons of sublime cement over a period of six to nine years. The deliveries will come from Sublimes's first trading factory in Holyoke, MA and its subsequent production factory in full.

Microsoft has granted a priority option for buying and providing sublime cement in its construction projects when they are geographically possible, in the data centers, office buildings and other infrastructures. With this new contract, the Environmental Attribute certificates (EACS) can be bought separately from the physical cement material from sublime cement.

“This purchase enables Microsoft to access sublime's low -carbon cement technology, regardless of where your construction is located,” said Sublime Systems CEO and co -founder Dr. Leah Ellis. “Microsoft is the first customer to appear for our future megaton scale and enables us to build up the sublime cement faster and scale than global, permanent solution for clean constructions.”
