Minister visit the local production company that supports energy -efficient buildings




Government -financed systems facilitate the production of energy -efficient solutions to promote sustainable households and buildings, the government said on Friday. This support leads to a greater recording of such solutions, whereby operators and property owners are happy to invest in sustainability.

Through the regulatory authority for energy and water services (REWS), homeowners can apply for the roof insulation and double glazing subsidy if they upgrade their doors and windows and carry out roof insulation. The scholarship covers 50% of the retrofitting costs that are limited to € 1,000. Since 2022, REWS has received 781 applications for this grant.

At the same time, home buyers can benefit from a newly launched program through the building and building authority (BCA) that also supports the introduction of energy-efficient buildings. This program aims to increase the purchase of such properties and to raise awareness of their services, which gives a granting of up to 9,000 euros for justified home buyers in three years.
