In a move that was reported, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) was maintained a two -year extension of the enforcement moratorium for Veterans Affairs Health Benefits Program (VAHBP) provider for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). This extension on June 11, 2025 will now be carried out until May 7, 2027.
The extended moratorium continues to implement the requirements of the VAHBP providers in order to take positive steps in order to ensure the same opportunities regardless of disability or protected veteran status, and the obligations that are usually necessary by federal entrepreneurs and subcontractors. In addition, VAHBP providers are subject to non -neutral planning for compliance reviews -although all reviews are currently being held in the idea.
The OFCCP is currently keeping the authority to investigate discrimination complaints, which were submitted in accordance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 503) and Vietnam -ära -äranen -Veteranen. In view of the focus of the current administration on deregulation and the latest proposed budget, which would effectively eliminate the OFCCP, this moratorium extension probably reflects the need to remedy the date of expiry last May 2025 instead of increasing its activities.
This expansion exhibits the latest in a series of actions that are due until 2014 when the OFCCP limited its enforcement activities for tricare sub -entrepreneurs for the first time in order to compensate for the regulatory requirements and the access of veterans to health care, so that more time can be considered to check the feedback from the stakeholders. The moratorium was later expanded to include VAHBP providers. With effect from August 31, 2020, the final rule of OFCCP showed that it has no authority about Tricare providers. The current moratorium extension offers the OFCCP an additional time to develop sub-regulatory guidelines that deal with VAHBP providers.
While the expansion offers a certain regulatory relief, VAHBP providers must remain aware that the moratorium does not freed them from non -discrimination obligations.
