The Berglund Construction Company was fined 85,116 US dollars by the professional security and health administration, when two workers were put on a scaffolding that hangs by the Milwaukee Courthouse last October.
The company denies all the charges.
On October 10, two workers had to be saved by the Milwaukee fire brigade when the scaffolding in which they were considerably on one side while working near the tip of the court building.
Nobody was injured during the incident.

The Milwaukee fire brigade is trying to save two workers who were caught on a dangling scaffold on Thursday, October 10, 2024 in Milwaukee, WIS, in the courthouse of Milwaukee County.
According to the Osha report, the violations contained:

The vertical life aspects were not attached to a firm safe anchoring point.

The scaffolding system was not properly set up by a competent person who has qualified in the scaffolding erection. “

The draws in the suspended scaffolding system did not correspond to the strength of the suspension parts and “employee exposed to a scaffold collapse and risk of falling”.

The draws were not security for a structurally solid anchoring on the building.

The suspension rays of the suspension frame were not held back to prevent the movement.

The employer put together the employees of the screens because some components are excluded. “The trolleys associated with the I-carriers and the scaffolding platform were not designed in such a way that they are used as personnel lifting devices.”
Osha did not end the inspection and the case is still open.
