The City of Prescott (City) and its contractor, CLM Earthmovers, LLC, will begin the Zone 52 Water Main Extension Project the week of January 6, 2025.
The project consists of installing a new water main from the intersection of Pioneer Parkway and Williamson Valley Road to Bowie Drive South, as shown on the map. In addition to installing over a mile of new water main, the project also includes construction of water connections and demolition of the existing 100,000-gallon Longview Water Storage Tank and Longview Booster Pump Station in the Longview Estates neighborhood on Bowie Drive South.
This project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2025 and will improve the city's water infrastructure to meet current and future needs. The work can take place Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The majority of this project takes place off-road. However, please note reduced speeds, loud noise, marking work and lane restrictions throughout work areas.
The City and contractor will work to ensure a continuous water supply to all properties throughout the project. However, short water shutoffs are required to connect to the city's existing system. Those affected will be informed in advance of a temporary interruption in utilities. The City is committed to keeping the community informed of potential construction impacts throughout the project.
