Royal3ds Shearwater Aquatic Drone Prototype has sustainable thermoplastic polymers and PETG fiber materials

There is a long story of 3D printed drones used for maintenance and surveillance in maritime applications. The Shearwater Aquatic Drone Prototype, which was partially subsidized by the EU CrossRoads program, was developed to promote data acquisition and surveillance in maritime environments. Royal3D used his know -how in large format additives and maritime operations to prepare the drone for durability and performance in demanding situations. Proprietary Advanced Additive Manufacturing Technology was implemented using the IP knowledge of Royal 3D, which enabled control of the shifty taghesion during the printing process using infrared cameras.

In order to survive hard maritime conditions, it was important that the Shearwater water travic is waterproof and strong. Specially developed thermoplastic polymers and PETG fiber materials provided these requirements with light materials. The drone consists exclusively of recycled and recyclable materials, which honors the company's commitment to sustainability.

Thanks to its modular and parametric design, companies can adapt the drone system to the needs of their own autonomous systems. The security and efficiency needs of both people and animals based on certain environments are improved by the design flexibility of the drone.
