After assigning funds by the Ministry of Finance for the current financial year, the contract will cover the construction of 50 kilometers of roads in the Bajura section (Piluchaur-Kuwadi) and in the Humla section (Kuwadi-Tumchaur) under the corridor of Karnali.

The Karnali corridor, a National Pride project, aims to expand the road network to Hilsa in Humla.

After completion, this street connects the border between Nepal India with the border between Nepal China in Jamunaha in banking.

The total length of the road from Jamunaha in Banks to Hilsa in Humla will be 505 kilometers.

The section of Khulalu in Kalikot, via Piluchaur in Bajura, to Simkot (Humlas headquarters) and then to the China border in Hilsa is 269 kilometers long.

The road department also asked for a budget to darken the road from Khulalu to Piluchaur within the current financial year in order to accelerate the construction in the upper section.

The southern section of the Karnali corridor from Khulalu in Kalikot is managed by Kolti Bajura with a distance of 123 kilometers.

The northern section from Sallisalla in Homla to Hilsa is monitored by Mhla.

In 2064 BS, the Nepal government started the Kalikot-Humla-Jumla-Straßenprojekt.

The Nepalese army took responsibility for the construction of the road from Khulalu in Kalikot to Salisalla in Humla via Bajura, starting in Chata 2071.

The road, which was opened by the army, was handed over by POUSH on 15, 2080 and is now being improved with a BlackPop contract.

The project engineer Pankaj Singh Dhami reported that the new contract in the southern section of the Karnali corridor of Narharinath-8 Khulalu in Kalikot to Sallisalla in Humla contains an additional 50 kilometers of road.

It has already been worked on expanding the road, building drainage systems and preparing the gravel road from Khulalu.

Dhami added that two several years of contracts for work in the Piluchaur-Tumchaur department were requested, and building contractors are used within three months after the necessary processes are completed.

The contract will cover the exhaustion of 23.7 kilometers of Piluchaur-Kuwadi and 26.3 kilometers of Kuwadi-Tumchaur in Bajura, whereby the goal was completed within three years after the contract was signed.

The road is painted over difficult slopes, 7.75 meters in other areas and 9 meters in market areas on a width of 5.5 meters and 9 meters black.

The Karnali Corridor South Section (Khulalu-Sallisalla) road planning office works on a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of new bridges in Bandu, Pahima Khola in Bajura and Makai Khola in Humla.

The road department also asked for a budget to darken the road from Khulalu to Piluchaur within the current financial year in order to accelerate the construction in the upper section.

The Karnali Korridor North Section (Hilsa-Simkot-Sallisalla) planning office has provided a budget of 340 million rupees this year.

Work to improve the Simkot-Hilsa section began building pebbles, gavins and drainage systems last year.

Government officers have given plans for the awarding of contracts in several packages for road improvements and other work in remaining sections by the end of the current financial year.

Four bridges under construction, DVRS for three bridges completed

The construction is underway for four bridges in Khulalu-Simkot-Straße. RCC Steel Bridges are built over the Tamru Khola, Heppa Khola, Angar Khola and Kharpunath River.

After completion, these bridges make Simkot-Surkhet directly accessible, especially after building a concrete bridge over Kharpunath Khola.

The Karnali Corridor North Section (Hilsa-Simkot-Sallisalla) road planning office in Humla creates the contract for RCC Steel Bridge, whereby the Bailey Bridge process in Kharpunath is progressing.

The Karnali Corridor South Section (Khulalu-Sallisalla) road planning office works on a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of new bridges in Bandu, Pahima Khola in Bajura and Makai Khola in Humla.

Engineer Dhami found that the office is preparing a DPR for the construction of an RCC bridge in the current financial year.

He added: “During the rainy season, traffic was disturbed for a day or two due to the rising river. We take steps to ensure a smooth flow of traffic in the long term by promoting the necessary bridge construction processes. “
