Orlando, Fla. (CBS12) – After a Seaworld coach was injured during a training exercise, the topic park is now being exposed to a fine of over $ 16,000.
The US Ministry of Labor (DOL) led Seaworld on March 21 after a trainer was injured in September 2024 by a killer whale in the Orlando theme park. An investigation by the professional and health administration of the department (OSHA) showed that during a training exercises, the trainer was not adequately protected from potential dangers during a training exercises with the whale training.
Osha issued a serious quote as part of the general service clause in which the risks of bite were highlighted and drowned by the whale. The agency has proposed a penalty of 16,550 US dollars.

According to the DOL, Seaworld has 15 working days after receiving quotes and punishments to either keep, request an informal conference with Osha's regional manager or to contest the results before the independent commission for the security and health check of occupational safety.
