About this role
The role as Senior Associate in the Carbon Free Buildings (CFB) program at RMI includes key tasks to promote decarbonization in buildings. You will actively participate in research projects, conduct detailed techno-economic analyzes and maintain stakeholder relationships with consultants, regulators and researchers. The position requires a strategic thinker who can visually communicate quantitative data to the public, formulate clear recommendations, and conduct extensive literature reviews to develop quantitative models. This role requires collaboration from all teams, including RMI leadership, the Embodied Carbon team, and India Initiatives, to drive impactful changes in building materials practices and policies.
Responsibilities
- Providing research and techno-economic analysis on a range of contemporary topics.
- Support and sometimes lead stakeholder relationships with industry consultants, regulators and academic researchers.
- Present quantitative information in a clear, visual format for public use, such as white papers, journal articles, and RMI publications.
- Condense recommendations into clear and compelling presentations.
- Conduct literature searches and data acquisition to support the development of quantitative models.
- Connect with the community of industry leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant work experience OR an MS degree in a related field + 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Determined, entrepreneurial, with initiative and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills and experience.
- Strong problem-solving, research and writing skills.
- Alignment and commitment to the mission of promoting zero-carbon buildings as a key element in combating climate change.
- Experience in the construction industry, communications, consulting, project management and related areas.
