Studio Tim Fu reveals a complete AI-controlled architectural project

Studio Tim Fu, a company based in London, defines architecture by artificial intelligence (AI) design with its latest project on Lake Bled, Slovenia.

The Lake Bled Estate along the famous banks of Lake Glacier consists of seven exclusive villas, which were made from the fusion of human creativity and AI.

“We are on a crossroads, a moment of profound changes,” says Tim Fu, who founded his namesake studio after his tenure at Zaha Hadid Architects. “AI ignites a revolution in design. By using the creative potential of machine intelligence, we can bring this groundbreaking development to life with unsurpassing speed and precision.”

Tradition through technology honor

The property comprises almost 5.5 hectares and comprises six new Ultra Luxury villas alongside Vila Epos, a protected cultural monument that was designed in 1909 by Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik.

During the conceptual phase, AI tools were used to analyze the region's colloquial language. This process discovered elements such as the wood ricalit -converting partial housing that extends from the facades -which the studio redesigned as a central vertical atrium open for garden views and daylight.

“This is the first time that AI is so extensively embedded in the architectural process, from prototyping design to optimization for cultural heritage and the environment,” says Rada Daleva, Project Lead for Studio Tim Fu.

A design that promotes the connection

Lake Bled Estate promotes both privacy and social connection through a master plan that carefully positions the villas and at the same time centered the development around a community park. The landscape concept contains curated green and paths that should promote interaction.

The collection of villas with two, three and four bedrooms offers customizable living rooms that integrate indoor and outdoor environments. While the exterior give a homage to the local architectural traditions, the interiors maximize the natural light and frame the open view of the gardens and the lake.
