The competitive immigration facility in Fort Bliss is now dealing with an investigation after the death of a subcontractor employee at the end of the last month.
On July 21, NBC News reported that an employee who was later identified as Hector Gonzalez died at a job in Camp East Montana in Fort Bliss. After the death of the 38-year-old employee, the department for the occupational safety agency and the department for the US Army announced that they opened a formal examination, confirmed representatives of the agency.
Gonzalez was at the Disaster Management Group, LLC based in Jupiter, Florida. The El Paso Times turned to the company, but calls were not returned.

The facility received immigrants on August 1, and over 1,000 immigrants are currently being recorded in the facility, confirmed Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-EL Paso. The facility was also called “Lone Star Lockup” and “Camp East Montana” by political leaders.
This is a developing story.
