Task Force improved to combat human smugglers that have been extended to parts of the northern border

Texas Border Watch – border crossings may fall, but federal and state officials say that dangerous smuggling operations still bring migrants, including children, into fatal situations.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the joint Task Force Alpha expanded its reach. The Task Force, which was first introduced under the former Attorney General Merrick Garland in June 2021, was created to operate human smuggling and human trafficking.

According to Bondi, the Task Force expansion will enable the northern border to cover the maritime boundaries and additional antitrust trade and at the same time add more workers from DEA, ATF and FBI.

“The costs for human smuggling are huge. So many families die, so many people die,” said Bondi. “These smugglers used a variety of vehicles … microbus, tractor pendants, cattle cars … to smuggle several Guatemaltec migrants, including many unaccompanied minors.”

Disruptive smuggling cases in Texas

Officials emphasized several recent law enforcement measures, including a case of the western district of Texas, in which four defendants were charged with THC for allegedly unaccompanied children to sleep while they were smuggled into the USA.

“This cartels have no reason. There is no restrictive principle of how low you will go to enrich yourself,” said the US lawyer of the western district of Justin Simmons.

The authorities also announced arrests in the smuggling ring of Susana Guadian and her family based in Juarez. The investigators say that the group coordinated the illegal transport of children across the border and gave them the rubbers to keep them calm.

“They took some of them to the hospital to get this treatment,” said Simmons that some of the children were smuggled. “The poisoning was later diagnosed.”

In another case, US lawyers have six Guatemaltec nationals in connection with a fall of 2021 in Chiapas, Mexico, in which 50 people were killed and more than 100 more injured. Three of the suspects have now been delivered to the United States to raise charges in Laredo, whereby a fourth delivery was soon expected.

Border wand updates

Federal civil servants also confirmed that new sections of the border wall are painted in black as part of a federal expenditure package. The goal is to climb the wall hotter and more difficult – and at the same time reduce rust.

According to CBP, Black Paint is already applied in the El Paso and Tucson sectors and included in future construction contracts. The agency has not published a complete timeline if all sections of the wall could be painted.

With the OBBB we can end the border wall system that started under the first term of President Trump. Due to an active procurement process to end the wall, it would be irresponsible for the American taxpayer to publish the numbers because it could possibly have an impact on future offers. The one Big Beautiful Bill Act contains 46.5 billion US dollars for the construction of the border barrier system. Black color is seen as an attribute of the border barrier system. Black paint is currently being applied in the Border Wall Construction projects in the El Paso and Tucson sector and will be contained in future contracts.

Knowledge of English against truck drivers

Another important change is for commercial truck drivers. According to a recent implementation regulation, the Federal Government requires all commercial drivers to enforce the knowledge of English.

Transport Minister Sean Duffy warned that states that could not enforce the funding of the federal government – including California, Washington and New Mexico.

“This is about protecting people on the street,” said Duffy. “We have to ensure that those who drive big rigs, understand street signs, communicate with law enforcement authorities and react safely in emergencies.”

The governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, has also instructed the Texas Ministry of Public Security to carry out the language tests for “zero tolerance” for drivers, especially for those who come in Mexico and Mexico.

Followers say that this will improve security, but critics fear that this could worsen the lack of truck drivers of the country and applied inconsistently.
