In a municipality with buyers who are starving after further options, the potential of 120 new houses is good news for Bowling Green.
The existence of the new subdivision in the southwestern corner of Brim and Newton Roads is the realization that in some cases real estate prices are twice as high.

When a family went through a model house on Tuesday, they talked about why they bought a house in the new development.
“We could choose what we wanted,” said Katelyn Davis when she toured a family with her husband Alan and daughter Mallorie. The top on her list “Want” was a garage with three cars and a main bedroom on the first floor.
“We fell in love with this layout,” said Katelyn Davis.
Mary Hinkelman, executive director of the BG Chamber of Commerce, thanked those who invested in development.
“We are very, very excited about new apartments in Bowling Green,” said Hinkelman. “The houses are beautiful. Thank you for realizing this in Bowling Green. We know that there is a great need for living space.”
Two model houses of the five Floor models, which were built in the 37-hectare Toussaint Springs-Ländung, were open to the public on Tuesday. All houses are built by K. Hovnanian, which also builds 25 houses in the Cogan transition development at Bishop Road.
So far, two models have been built in Toussaint Springs, two houses are framed, another is based and three cellars installed.
Tim King, President of the Division of K. Hovnanian, said that the company was selectively about where to build.
“We are happy to be here,” said King. “We believe that it is a great investment for us and bowling Green community.”

The subdivision is ideal for families who “want a community – a good place to raise their children,” said Kurek.
Kurek estimated that an average house building took about four months.
“We are big enough that we can continue to build,” he said. And that gives the buyers “quick catchment options”.
