This year BLT Built Design Awards The program received over 800 submissions from 57 countries and presented a remarkable range of visionary ideas that are redefining both urban and natural landscapes. From established professionals to emerging talent, the initiative recognized those shaping the future of architecture, interior and landscape design, and construction.
The awards highlighted a unique diversity of expertise and recognized everyone involved in bringing exceptional projects to life. From architectural firms to building product designers, the event spotlighted those tackling today's urbanization challenges with fresh ideas and impactful solutions. After several rounds of voting, each winning project was carefully evaluated by a jury of 31 leading professionals, media experts, entrepreneurs and scientists from the fields of architecture and design.
Astrid Hébert, co-founder of the BLT Built Design Awards, praised the outstanding quality of the submissions and their impact on the built environment: “We are incredibly inspired by the vision and commitment of this year's winners. This year's winners reflected a shared passion for visionary design across all disciplines. The “Architectural Design of the Year” award was presented ATMOSPHERE from Krallerhof, Germany, an outstanding project by Hadi Teherani Architects with decking from Kebony. WOSA showroom for sintered stones in Macau, designed by The Volks Design Research & Consulting Ltd., won the title of Interior Design of the Year. In landscape architecture, Benjakitti Forest Park in Thailand by Arsomsilp Community and Environmental Architect + TURENSCAPE received the highest award System 02 by The Backcountry Hut Company of Canada was named Building Product Design of the Year.
Emerging talents were also celebrated: Wood & tablea unique concept by Luxi Chen, was named Emerging Architect of the Year. Sonal Aggarwal's impressive work on the Yohji Yamamoto New York City flagship store was named Emerging Interior Designer of the Year. Finally, Exoskeletons in Taiwan by Cheng-Wei Lee received the title of Emerging Landscape Architect of the Year.
This year's competition showcased the remarkable talents of renowned leaders in architecture and design, including luminaries such as Marcio Kogan of Studio Mk27, Zaha Hadid Architects, Tadao Ando Architect & Associates, MAD Architects, KPMB Architects, Bjarke Ingels Group and dwp | Design worldwide partnership, including Dominique Coulon & Associés, Concéntrico, Casson Mann, Sanjay Puri Architects and Stylt Trampoli AB. These influential voices continue to inspire and drive the industry forward with their unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence.
