The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) application for the California Apprenticeship Council (CAC) training funds closes November 14, 2025.

The CAC Training Fund has grown from $3 million to $20 million per year, representing a nearly seven-fold increase in support funding for construction training programs. To distribute funds efficiently, DAS switched to an electronic system, the California Outreach Rapid Deployment (CORD) platform.
Contractors on public works projects are still required to contribute training funds at the applicable statutory wage rates (California Labor Code 1777.5).
