“This living, student -oriented institution is a bold new chapter for Daramalan College,” said the jury.
“The Daramalan Performing Arts Center interprets the school's red brick heir with a playful, contemporary turn.
“Stewart Architecture combines tradition and innovation and wraps a dynamic black box theater in animated masonry that indicates creativity inside.
“An internal street celebrates a feeling of arrival and joint experience. Planned to support all facets of performance education, the compact design offers the functions back and forth.”

Another multiple winner was the BVN architecture, which won the Romaldo Giurgola Award for Public Architecture, the Derek Wrigley Award for Sustainable Architecture, the Pamille Berg Prize for Art in Architecture and an expansion of the interior design for the expansion of the Canberra Hospital.
It was also the winner of the opened national architectural stories that recognizes works that include topics such as community, cooperation, sustainability, culture and storytelling.
“The work of BVN showed a tangible, as a reaction to national stories within a complex and layered building type.” The jury said.
“This BVN project serves as a catalyst for the persecution of an integrated state -centered stories in architecture in the law.
“The welcome hall, the gallery and hospital corridors with a framed view of significant elements in the surrounding landscape promote the idea of a meeting point and a place of the paths.
“The project sets a new benchmark by embedding community, culture and care in a sustainable architectural framework.”
