The plan for the reconstruction of the infrastructure of the West Hartford Center, which has been refined after many studies and consultations in the past three years, officially began on Monday evening with the distance of 36 street trees on Lasalle Road, and on Wednesday morning a number of parking spaces were blocked, and markings were added to the vehicle to add to the location, except for the plumps, up to the soils, up to the soils. The project is carried out in phases, and the first phase of the project comprises two segments on opposite pages and opposite ends of the Lasalle Road – on the east side from Ellsworth Road to the Memorial Road connection and on the west side between the intersection with the Farmington Avenue and the Central Optica. These segments should be completed by June 10, the second phase from June 11 to August 19 and the third phase from August 20 to November 3.

Gerber Construction Inc. is the contractor commissioned to implement the infrastructure master plan. The project website on the website of the city of West Hartford is updated by M&J Engineering, the city's construction manager. The following is specified in the construction activity of the construction work: “Each phase includes a work area that is approximately 300 to 400 feet long and is limited to one side of the street. A maximum of two areas of work will be active at any time. The construction work plans will be closely with the city and shops. The reconstruction of Lasalle Road will be completed by 2025.

Lynn Digiovanni, a project manager at M&J Engineering, met with members of the West Hartford Center Business Association on Wednesday morning to answer questions about the project and to answer concerns about access to their companies and parking as well as specific concerns such as vibrations from the construction of alarms.
Companies in the center are nervous about the disorder, but Digiovanni ensured that they remain accessible to customers and customers. The road remains open, and although there may be temporary road traffic, there is at least one road on at least one road.

“The West Hartford Center Business Association will keep the public up to date via social media channels, local news agencies and directly at business level,” said Irene O'Connor, director of public relations for linked media on behalf of West Hartford Center Business Association. “The city of West Hartford has done a great job to reconcile business owners throughout the planning process, to offer resources and hear our concerns while the project is developing.”
The project includes new stamp concrete, which are more wider and more accessible, 52 new road trees as well as bushes, decorative street lighting, change in traffic signals, shortened cross -ranges and increased zebra strips, retractable muddling, which can easily be made to close the Lasalle road and new furniture and other hearings. The implementation of “mobility centers”, which include bicycle parking spaces as well as e-bike and e-scooter loads, will also increase access to the center.

“Efforts are also made to minimize noise, dust and disorder,” said M & J.
The 52 new trees are planted using soil cells, which M&J Engineering described as “innovative structures to improve urban tree growth and rainwater management. They offer a solution to the challenges of soil compression and limited soil volume in urban surroundings”. The soil cells are designed in such a way that they promote healthy tree root growth and manage rainwater drain, so that tree growth does not affect the paved surfaces in the surrounding area.
The trees will have five different varieties, all local species, and according to Digiovanni, have a diameter of 3 to 3½ inches and 12 t0 15 feet. The new trees are planted together with the final pavement on the entire road after the full road.

The business owners were assured that the signage will be available and it is found that they are open throughout the construction project, but some are still concerned that there will be a reduction in foot traffic.
“While these exciting improvements take place, companies of the West Hartford Center remain open and are happy to welcome customers,” said O'Connor. “The Business Association also works hard to hire all companies and landlords in the center to strengthen the resources to make shopping and the restaurant in the West Hartford Center even more pleasant.”

Parking during the construction was a topic of discussion at the session on Wednesday, and it was found that a limited number of rooms is closed in every phase. Since there are no restaurants in the center of the street this year, these rooms are not lost.
In a press release, M&J Engineering found that parking in privately owned the garage for the city center as well as in South Main Street and in the Lasalle Road as well as in the parks outside of the street in city property in the Farmington Avenue, Brace Road and in the town hall, are accessible to these areas.
“Parkalers are available via the Weha Park Finder app and visit the city's website in the municipal parking lot, which also contains information on designated parking spaces for take-out and delivery zones https://www.westhartfordct.gov/town-departments/paring,” says the press release from M & J.

Kristen Gorski, coordinator for economic development by West Hartford, said that the outdoor food is permitted from April 1st. Although existing patos are used, she confirmed that no corrals will be used in the street this year. She said that restaurant owners were informed that their terraces can be used, but they have to be flexible if the construction of the sidewalk is actually in front of its furnishings.

“These improvements will benefit the municipality by improving the local economy, attracting more visitors and offers residents and customers a more pleasant experience. While companies are still open, local business owners are committed to ensuring that customers continue to receive the highest quality experience during the entire construction period,” says M&J Engineering.
